Ford Territory SUV Trademarked: What Does It Offer?
The upcoming Ford Territory cuts a striking figure, blending macho boldness with classy sophistication. Its C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) integrate seamlessly with a big honeycomb grille, creating a dynamic front fascia. The unique split headlamp design positions the main LED headlights lower on the bumper, adding a distinctive touch. It is interesting to note that the Territory is already active in some international markets and the same is expected to arrive in India.
The upcoming Ford Territory is also known as the Equator in certain markets. This mid-size SUV, measuring 4.6 meters in length, slots below the Everest (Endeavour) in Ford's lineup and offers swanky and big alloy wheels for a bulky stance.
The Territory doesn't shy away at the back either, boasting a design that's both aggressive and classy. C-shaped LED taillights echo the front design language, while a rear spoiler and sharp diffuser add a touch of sportiness. The overall impression is undeniably modern, making the Territory a potential looker that could rival the likes of the new Safari and XUV700 in the style department. However, we expect a connected lightbar to appear at its back, something that is highly favoured by Indian buyers.
Ford Territory: Interior And Features
The Territory's cabin exudes international flair with a clean and sophisticated layout. Twin 12.3-inch LCD screens dominate the center console, one serving as the instrument cluster and the other dedicated to infotainment. The features list is equally impressive, boasting full leather upholstery for seats and steering wheel, 10-way power adjustment for the driver's seat and 4-way adjustment for the front passenger seat.
A twin-panel panoramic moonroof, multi-color ambient lighting, and an 8-speaker sound system round out the comfort and entertainment. In terms of safety, it will offer features like ADAS, blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree camera, all-wheel disc brakes, and more.

Powertrain
In terms of powertrain options, there are two variants available: a 170 PS 1.5L and a 190 PS 1.8L Ecoboost range of 4-cylinder engines. As for the gearbox, it appears that there is only a single 7-speed DCT unit available.
While the SUV is expected to make its Indian debut in early 2025, it will lock horns with the likes of Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700, and others in the segment.
Verdict
Ford's entry to the Indian market is very-well thought out. The Endeavour is making its comeback ad the brand is looking forward to take on the more affordable SUV segment at the same time. The advantage is that it already has products in the international markets ready to be introduced as rivals to the current SUV star sellers in almost every segment in India.
