Transparent Body Panels With A New Indium Blue Colour
The brand has introduced a fresh 'Indium Blue' shade. To showcase the scooter's interior design and reveal its clean aesthetics, the scooter features a transparent panel above a painted orange frame. Notably, the 450 Apex stands as the sole scooter in India featuring this transparent panel. Further enhancing its appeal is the vibrant color combination that includes two contrasting colours: blue and orange.
Enhanced Performance With WARP+ Mode
Ather has unveiled a new riding mode named WARP+, which accelerates the scooter from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Significantly, it features the fastest throttle response time in the scooter industry, with an industry-leading reaction time of just 90 milliseconds. The 450 Apex attains a peak torque of 210 Nm at the wheel.
With the introduction of Warp+, Ather has boosted the power levels by 10%, ensuring that the peak torque remains constant at higher speeds. This improvement leads to a 30% faster acceleration from 40 to 80 km/h compared to the 450X. The top speed of the 450 Apex is 100 km/h.
Enhanced Range With Magic Twist Regenerative Breaking
Ather has introduced an exclusive feature known as Magic Twist, available only on the 450 Apex. Representing a significant advancement in regenerative braking, Magic Twist enables the scooter to come to a complete stop even when the battery is fully charged at 100%. Unlike conventional 2W regenerative braking systems, which engage only at around 85% battery charge or lower and can only slow down the vehicle, Magic Twist allows users to brake by applying negative input on the throttle.
This results in an impressive 40% increase in braking force compared to any other 2W regenerative system available in India. With Magic Twist, riders can accelerate by throttling up and brake by throttling down, eliminating the need for frequent use of traditional levers for braking. This innovation extends the scooter's range by up to 7%, reaching 157 km (IDC range).
Pricing, Deliveries & Warranty
The Ather 450 Apex is priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, the brand provides a 5-year or 60,000-kilometer battery warranty and complimentary Ather Connect for 3 years. Bookings for the new scooter are currently open, and deliveries are scheduled to start in March 2024.

Ather 450 Apex Delight Kit
Ather has introduced a special package called the Delight Kit for customers receiving the 450 Apex. This kit includes a handcrafted helmet in a blue-orange color scheme that matches the scooter, a built-in Ather TPMS, a neck gaiter, an iron-on garment patch, and a uniquely designed keychain.
Verdict
The Ather 450 Apex distinguishes itself as a one-of-a-kind electric scooter in its class, owing to its transparent panel design and appealing color scheme. While this high-performance electric scooter competes strongly with others in the market, it is priced a bit higher compared to competitors like the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2, Simple Dot One, and other premium electric scooters.
