The price of Hyundai's 2023 Grand i10 Nios in India is Rs. 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom). The Grand i10 Nios's look, interior, and feature offers have all seen alterations from the brand. The Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios are still competitors, and the Nios has numerous segment-first features that Swift don't have. RDE Compliant Engine
Hyundai has modified the engine with the new facelift to comply with the upcoming RDE (Real Driving Emission) requirements. The BS6 phase 2 compliance, which will be put into effect in April 2022, includes the RDE norms. The engine is also prepared for E20 fuel. The 1.2-liter NA petrol engine that powers the Grand i10 Nios facelift cranks out 83 bhp of output and 113.8 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is paired with an AMT and 5-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the 1.2-liter engine has a CNG powertrain that produces 95.2 Nm of torque and 69 bhp of power.
Maruti Suzuki, on the other hand, still needs to modify the engine to comply with the future RDE requirements.
Better Features On Offer
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift includes various segment-first features, including wireless charging, front footwell illumination, rear AC vents, tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), and Type C fast charging ports. The Maruti Suzuki Swift, on the other hand, is deficient in these characteristics and offers only few basic ones, such USB charging ports, 12V charging ports, and other basic functions.
Better Safety Features
Hyundai has placed a strong emphasis on safety with the Grand i10 Nios facelift. In the new facelift, the company offers 4 airbags as standard equipment and 6 airbags as an option. Additionally, the Grand i10 Nios has hill hold assist available in both manual and AMT versions, but the Swift only has dual front airbags and this functionality in AMT versions.

The cost of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios ranges from Rs 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki Swift, on the other hand, has a starting price of Rs. 5.91 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs. 8.71 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai Grand i10 Nios base variant costs Rs 23,000 less than the Maruti Suzuki Swift, and the top variant costs Rs 25,00 less. A price differential of between Rs 10,000 and 20,000 applies to the mid-spec models as well.
Verdict: For those seeking a premium compact hatchback, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios could be a better option. Over the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the Grand i10 Nios offers more comfortable and safety features. The Grand i10 Nios is also less expensive than the Swift.
