Hero Motocorp has showcased the teaser sketch of the bigger Xpulse 421 at the 2024 EICMA show. Now, the brand has patented the design of the upcoming Hero Xpulse 421 ADV and the design patent has been surfaced online. The bigger Xpulse is expected to be unveiled by the end of 2025 with an all-new design, a bigger engine, and more off-road-friendly components among other changes. Hero Xpulse 421 ADV Patented
Currently, the Hero Xpulse 200 is one of the most affordable ADV one can buy in the Indian market. The newly patented Xpulse 421 will be a bigger and more powerful version of the Xpulse. It will boast a different design as compared to the current generation model. The front of the new Xpulse 421 will get a new headlamp assembly, a bigger and more upright visor, sharper tank shrouds, a bigger fuel tank, a single seat, underbelly protection, and knuckle guards.
On the features front, we can anticipate it to get all LED lighting, digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support, ride-by-wire throttle, dual-channel ABS, off-road ABS, traction control among other features. The hardware is expected to get a new trellis frame, petal disc brakes, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels with dual-purpose tyres.
Hero Xpulse 421 Engine
The upcoming Xpulse 421 will get a new 421cc liquid-cooled engine producing nearly 42-45 bhp of power and 45 Nm of peak torque. This engine is expected to be mated with a 6-speed gearbox.
Verdict
Hero Motocorp is shifting their focus towards premium and big engine motorcycles. The brand has recently showcased a bigger version of Karizma in EICMA 2024 and the new Xpulse 210. Hero Xpulse 421 is expected to be the flagship ADV by the brand and it is expected to make debut by the end of 2025. This ADV will go head on with the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
