• What could have been better

  • You don’t feel the engine’s punch until 6,000 rpm.
  • Build quality is not that good.
  • Vibrations evident on higher speeds- when you go above 5,000 rpm

Design Updates - Sporty Yet Sophisticated 8.5

• Hero has smartly retained the DNA of the Karizma while giving it a subtle yet meaningful visual upgrade.
• The body lines are still muscular and sharp, but new color themes and decals add a layer of freshness.   
• The limited-run Combat Grey edition looks especially premium with a stealthy tone and crisp detailing.  
• Aerodynamics and rider ergonomics remain the core design strengths- ideal for both city dashes and weekend escapes.

The 210cc liquid-cooled engine remains unchanged, and that’s not a bad thing. 

• With 25.5 PS at 9,250 rpm and 20.4 Nm at 7,250 rpm, it’s a healthy performer in both urban and spirited rides.  
• The 6-speed gearbox coupled with a slip-and-assist clutch ensures smooth transitions - even when you push it hard.
• Thanks to revised fueling for OBD-2B compliance, the throttle response feels slightly sharper and more linear now.

The engine performs well for daily rides, it offers swift acceleration, thanks to precise and smooth gear shifts facilitated by the slipper and assist clutch.

Featuring telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock absorber with 6-step adjustability, the bike delivers a comfortable and smooth riding experience. The suspension system is finely tuned to effectively absorb uneven road surfaces, with a slightly softer setup at the rear and a slightly tighter feel at the front. For braking, the motorcycle employs 300mm petal disc brakes in the front and a 230mm petal disc in the rear. Dual-channel ABS enhances the braking system, providing an additional layer of safety.

Ergonomics 8

In terms of ergonomics, the bike is equipped with a clip-on handlebar that encourages a slightly forward-leaning riding position. This stance doesn't excessively lean towards the front but imparts a sporty feel. Furthermore, the rear-set foot pegs, positioned slightly toward the back, contribute to the overall sporty posture. With a seat height of 810mm, it falls within a moderate range, providing comfort for most riders, although taller individuals might find it especially accommodating. However, for the pillion rider, the elevated rear seat, a common feature in faired motorcycles, could be a challenge for shorter riders or when mounting.

Summary

The ergonomics of the motorcycle are well sorted and it gives it a sporty riding posture to the rider. While the elder and female pillion riders might get difficulties to get on the rear.

Ride and Handling - Better Than Before 9

• This is where the most noticeable upgrade lies. The **USD front forks on the top trims bring in added stiffness and road feel, especially around corners and uneven surfaces.  
• Rear mono-shock remains the same - gas-charged with 6-step pre-load - offering a comfortable ride without compromising sportiness.  
• The chassis, a steel trellis unit, continues to impress with its balance and stability, even during quick direction changes.

 

Brakes and Safety - Confident and Controlled 8.5

• The 300 mm front and 230 mm rear petal discs, supported by dual-channel ABS, remain unchanged and do a commendable job at both city and highway speeds.  
• Even under panic braking, the setup inspires confidence with progressive bite and minimal front-end dive - especially in the USD fork-equipped variants.  
• The addition of hazard lights adds an extra layer of safety during breakdowns or low-visibility conditions.
