Hyundai Cars To Be Costlier From New Year 2025

While the industry is making room for the new year 2025, planning new launches, and updating the existing lineup, there is something else waiting for you as well. Yes, it's a price hike, and if you are planning to take home a Hyundai car in 2025, the brand has revealed that the prices are going up by up to Rs. 25,000 come January 1, 2025.

Hyundai has conveyed that the higher sticker prices are attributed to rising costs of production, increase in logistics cost as well as the adverse exchange rates. All these factors make up for the elevated costs and while there isn't any info available on a model-to-model basis, the highest quantum has been revealed. Not just this, other high-end automakers like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz have also revealed plans to implement up to a 3% hike from next year, and other manufacturers are also expected to follow suit.

Hyundai Creta EV Launch Next Month

Moving over the price hike, Hyundai is all set to launch its latest EV offering, the Hyundai Creta EV at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025, putting an end to all the speculations and the spy shots spree. While all the information will be revealed at its debut, the spy shots and other scoops have left us with a fair bit of an idea of what to expect. The test mules suggest a focus on aerodynamics, with features like aero-cut alloy wheels aimed at improving range, along with a front-mounted charging port for easier access compared to traditional side-mounted ports. As for the battery options, a 45 kWh battery is anticipated to deliver a range of up to 300 km, while a larger 55-60 kWh battery could offer an extended range of approximately 500 km. It will be powered by the same electric motor found in the base Kona Electric, generating 138 hp and 255 Nm of torque, which is a time-tested unit.

Verdict

The price hike from next year onwards is a move that has roots in rising costs, adverse exchange rates and the logistics costs going up as per the brand. However, you can still get a good enough discount on the older models with the year-end offers in full swing to clear out the inventory. However, it is imposrtant to not that the Nissan Magnite is also getting expensive from next year and you can expect more such news in the coming days with more manufacturers introducing price hikes from January next year.
