MG Hector Snowstorm
MG has rolled out two teasers of what we are expecting to be the Hector Snowstorm, given the fact that the Gloster Snowstorm was launched not too long ago. The MG Hector Snowstorm will likely feature the same Pearl White and Black paint scheme with red inserts. It could also feature a black-finished grille, similar to what we've seen on the Gloster Snowstorm Edition. We expect the interiors of the Hector Snowstorm to also feature a similar all-black treatment with white contrast stitching.
The Hector Snowstorm will remain mechanically identical to the regular Hector, with the option of a 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel under the hood. It will also continue to offer the 14-inch infotainment screen, wireless phone connectivity, a wireless charging pad, voice commands, ambient lighting, automatic turn-indicators and more.
We can expect the Hector Snowstorm to be priced at a slight premium over the regular Hector variants.

MG Astor Blackstorm
Interestingly, MG is claiming that the Astor Blackstorm is coming back due to popular demand. However, according to the car maker's website, the Astor Blackstorm continues to be available. It is possible MG might be expanding the Astor Blackstorm to be offered with the turbo-petrol powertrain.
The MG Astor Blackstorm can be had only with the 1.5-litre nat-asp petrol engine, producing 108bhp and 144Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. In terms of changes, it receives an all-black paint scheme, black treatment on the grille, headlamps, alloy rims, bumpers, roof-rails, door surrounds, and roof-rails. The brake callipers receive red treatment for contrast.
Inside, the Astor Blackstorm comes with Tuxedo Black upholstery, with red inserts around the A/C vents, along with red stitching on the steering wheel and door-trims. In terms of features, the Astor Blackstorm currently comes with a digital key, a 10.1-inch infotainment touch screen, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, automatic headlamps with a follow-me-home function, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, hill-hold and descent control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts among many other things.
The MG Astor Blackstorm MT comes in at Rs 14.47 lakh, while the CVT can be had from Rs 15.76 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).

Verdict
While the Hector Snowstorm and the Astor Blackstorm might be great, MG must introduce something new and different to its ICE lineup. The car maker has kept its EV lineup interesting, but it is time we saw something a little different in the car maker's combustion-engine lineup, give how diverse its range is globally.
