Kia Motors has finally launched the all-new EV9 in India. It will be the brand's second electric offering in India after the EV6. The electric SUV will be available in India via the CBU (completely built unit). The EV9 is based on the E-GMP platform as other EVs in the automaker's lineup. Kia EV9 Powertrain
The Kia EV9 sources its power from a 99.8 kWh battery pack which is mated to dual motor setup. The powertrain on offer allows the EV to generate 384 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque. On a single charge, the Kia EV9 provides an impressive driving range of 500 km. Additionally, the Kia EV9 has features such as V2l (Vehicle to load) and 350 kW DC charging support that top-up the battery pack in just 25 minutes.
Kia EV9 Interior and Features
On the feature front, the Kia EV9 gets a simple and classy dashboard layout and dual-tone black leather upholstery. In terms of features, you get dual 12.3-inch displays and a 5.3-inch display for climate control. The third display integrates both the instrument console and infotainment system. The EV9 gets hidden touch controls for functions such as media settings, ventilation, climate control and start/stop. Other features on offer with the SUV include digital IRVMs, a panoramic sunroof, a massage function for the second-row seats and 8-way power adjustment.
On the safety front, the EV9 offers features like Level 2 ADAS, 9 airbags, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control (all as a part of ADAS tech).

The all-new EV9 has been launched in India at Rs. 1.29 crore. Yes, the price is on the higher side, but it was expected because of its entry via the CBU route in our region. The Kia EV9 locks horns with the likes of Mercedes EQE and BMW iX.
