Lexus LX
This mammoth luxury SUV is the flagship model of the Lexus brand and is based on the same platform as the Toyota Land Cruiser. In India, there is currently only one variant available, the LX 500d, which costs Rs 2.84 crore ex-showroom. The automaker has now revealed its future plans to add a twin-turbo hybrid powertrain.
Additionally, the LX 600h is sold internationally, featuring the same 3.4L engine setup, but it produces less power and torque - specifically, 409 hp and 479 Nm.
Now, along with the LX 700h, Lexus has also unveiled the 'Overtrail edition', which boasts a unique Moon Desert paint, a black grille, black alloy wheels, and black side mirrors. Additionally, the off-roading beast, the Land Cruiser Prado, will also be available with this special edition. Lastly, the North American market will be the first to experience this new iteration of the hybrid V6, followed by a launch in other markets.

Verdict
As we all know, diesel engines are soon going to become a thing of the past. Every automaker is launching petrol hybrids or turbo petrol versions of their cars while gradually removing diesel options. Now, Lexus has also taken this step, and the Land Cruiser will soon announce similar changes. So, if you're a diesel fan, buy a diesel vehicle quickly, as you may never see them in the future.
