Mercedes-Benz GLS

The Mercedes-Benz GLS is a behemoth SUV, commanding every second of your attention with its elegant design. In 2024, the GLS facelift was launched, featuring a new thicker 4-stack grille, an enhanced bumper design, and dynamic-looking interior upholstery. This car is essentially the SUV version of the S-Class. However, the rear-seat experience doesn’t quite match the luxury of the ‘S’ brand. For that, the GLS Maybach is also available, which takes the luxury quotient to even greater heights. Lastly, its rivals include the BMW X7, Audi Q7, and Volvo XC90.

Last Updated on 2nd May'25 : Since the 2024 facelift launch, Mercedes hasn’t introduced any further updates to the GLS - the SUV based on the S-Class. It competes with the BMW X7 and Audi Q7, and is the best-seller among them. The GLS is also available in a luxurious Maybach version.

The 2024 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 Facelift has just hit the roads in India, flaunting a price tag of Rs 3.35 crore. Under the hood, it boasts a robust 4.0-liter V8 engine, coupled with a seamless 9-speed automatic transmission. Inside, it boasts the latest MBUX screen featuring an interior assistant, along with a slew of other premium features to enrich the driving experience.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the Maybach GLS Celebration Edition in India at Rs 4.10 crore (ex-showroom) exclusive, design-focused version of its flagship luxury SUV. Alongside this, local production of the Maybach GLS has begun in India, making it the only market outside the US to assemble the model and significantly reducing the price of the standard version to around Rs 2.75 crore.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the Maybach GLS 600 Night Series in India at Rs 3.71 crore (ex-showroom). The Night Series brings blacked-out exterior elements, a darker design theme and subtle styling tweaks, while retaining the same powerful V8 powertrain and core luxury features as the standard model.
