Mercedes-Benz India has launched a mid-life facelift of its GLS SUV in India at Rs 1.32 crore (ex-showroom) for the petrol variant and Rs 1.37 crore (ex-showroom) for the diesel variant. The brand has given this mid-life facelift to the third-gen GLS which now gets cosmetic and feature updates. The bookings of the Mercedes-Benz GLS are already underway and deliveries will start soon.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift
The recently released GLS facelift features subtle cosmetic enhancements to its exterior. This includes a refreshed front grille with horizontal louvers and a silver shadow finish, along with a new design for its alloy wheels. The rear of the vehicle showcases an updated bumper design with skid plates, a fresh LED tail lamp pattern, and a new motif.
On the inside, it receives updated upholstery and color schemes. It is equipped with glossy brown lime wood trim, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and an infotainment system featuring a dual-screen setup. Other notable interior features include 5-zone climate control, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, a new MBUX interface, a panoramic sunroof, and powered seats. In terms of safety, the vehicle boasts an array of safety features, including a 360-camera, 9 airbags, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, parking assist, lane departure warning, and more.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Engine Options
The recently introduced GLS facelift is available in two variants: the GLS 450 and the 450d. The GLS 450 is the petrol version, featuring a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 375 bhp of power and 500 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the GLS 450d is the diesel variant, equipped with a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 362 bhp of power and 750 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed torque converter AT gearbox and an AWD drivetrain. Additionally, both engines incorporate a 48V mild-hybrid technology.
