Mahindra Vision S Teased Ahead Of August 15 Debut; Is This The Scorpio.e?

Another day, another Mahindra teaser out. This time, the car maker has rolled out a short clip giving us hints towards a Vision S concept. Of course, the guessing work has been left to us for now, but much like the Vision T teaser, there are things that we can infer from this short clip, because why not?

Mahindra Vision S Concept

The Vision S Concept teaser has been given a yellow theme, which is rather interesting, given that the Scorpio CRDe from back in 2005 was offered in a similar paint scheme. Then there is also the messaging of the teaser clip, which says 'Muscular Presence - Redefined.' This is the kind of messaging that is mostly synonymous with the Scorpio in Mahindra's current SUV lneup.

The elements shown in the teaser clip further seem to point towards an SUV with bits such as an upright, clamshell-like bonnet, with what appear to be vents on the sides. There also appears to be a modernised version of the signature six-slat grille from the Scorpio. However, everything else has been left for us to imagine and speculate for now.

Back in 2024, Mahindra did say that all its future models will eventually receive some degree of electrification, and it had also name-dropped models such as the Scorpio.e and the Bolero.e. All the reasons above lead us to think that the Vision S could well be a concept version of the Scorpio.e, giving us a glimpse into the future of the Scorpio brand, if not anything else.

As for what could underpin this car, Mahindra could well use the INGLO platform from the BE 6 and the XEV 9E. However, the car maker is likely to introduce another new platform, which could be named after the launch event itself; Freedom NU. There have been reports going around that Mahindra could enter the hybrid space with this one. However, it remains to be seen whether this materializes or not.

Given how things have been going, we can also expect another announcement to take place soon, perhaps a Vision B for the Bolero.e. It will also be interesting to see what will be the fourth concept from the car maker at the Freedom NU event on August 15.
