The XUV400 electric, Mahindra's first electric SUV, has officially been unveiled in India. Beginning in January 2023, buyers will be able to purchase the XUV400 electric. The company has made public all of the information about the electric SUV before the price reveal and launch. The SUV is a part of the Mahindra EV brand, XUV, which was recently unveiled in the UK. The XUV400 is the first Mahindra EV to sport the twin peaks logo in satin copper finish, giving it a striking presence on the road. Here are top five highlights of the XUV400 electric.

Mahindra XUV400 Electric - Design & Dimensions
The XUV400 electric shares a similar aesthetic with its ICE counterpart, the XUV300. However, it also possesses certain unique qualities, the most notable of which being its dimension. The Mahindra XUV400 is 4,200mm long, 1,821mm wide, 1,634mm tall, and has a 2,800mm wheelbase. The 378 litre boot is another perk of the XUV400 electric. The brand's new Twin Peaks logo in satin copper finish is also featured on the XUV400 electric. Satin Copper highlights can be seen on the front bumper, side door cladding, and the closed front grille. The LED DRLs are integrated in the headlamp assembly.
Mahindra XUV400 Electric - Powertrain
With a 39.4kW battery pack, the XUV400 electric is said to have a 456 km range. The motor produces a maximum torque of 310 Nm and a power output of 150 hp. The car can reach 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. Additionally, it has a top speed of 150 km/h. With the 50kW DC rapid charger, 80% of the charge is completed in just 50 minutes. For a 0100% charge using a 7.2 kW/32A outlet, it takes 6 hours and 30 minutes, whereas a 3.3 kW/16A residential socket completes the task in 13 hours.
Additionally, it has three alternative drive modes-Fun, Fast, and Fearless-each with a special steering, throttle, and regen response. It has a first-in-the-segment single pedal drive option called "Lively mode" for a smooth and easy driving experience in congested traffic.
Mahindra XUV400 Electric - Interior Features
Mahindra has equipped the XUV400 electric with a lot of features. It gets an all-black dashboard with same satin copper highlights as the exterior. The centre console gets a new drive selector. The XUV400 gets a 7-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it also gets brand's AdrenoX connectivity. Other elements includes the same features as the XUV300 for instance the dual-zone climate control, controls for air-cons and more.

Mahindra XUV400 - Safety Features
Six airbags, all-four disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts, dust- and waterproof battery pack that complies with IP67 requirements, and other safety features are part of the safety net. It also features BlueSense Plus mobile app with 60+ features, as well as a smartwatch connection for over-the-air upgrades. Mahindra XUV400 - Colours, Price Reveal & Deliveries
The Mahindra XUV400 electric will be available in five exciting colors-Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue-along with a dual tone roof option in Satin Copper finish. Starting in December 2022, the brand will conduct test drives in 16 cities. Also starting in January 2023 are the price announcement, bookings, and deliveries.
