Maruti Brezza, Ertiga, And More: Open Bookings Touch 1.75 Lakhs
Maruti Suzuki is currently one of the biggest carmakers in India in terms of volume and the same reflects in its long pending booking list. Surprisingly, as of May 2024, Maruti Ertiga MPV accounts for the biggest, 60,000 open bookings. Following this are the Maruti Brezza, Dzire, and WagonR with a pending order list of 20,000 units, 17,000 units, and 11,000 units respectively.
However, it is important to note that Maruti Suzuki ramped up production last month at its Manesar plant by 1 lakh units per annum in a bid to meet the ever-growing demand. It now has the ability to roll out 9 lakh units per year, which you can expect to increase in the future if the demands continue to grow at this pace. While this will help reduce pressure on the production line, it will bring down the waiting periods as well.
