New-gen Honda Amaze: What's New?
The new-gen Honda Amaze gets an all-new front profile. The sub-compact sedan has an Elevate-like front grille. The new Honda Amaze features redesigned headlamps, LED projector units and integrated LED DRLs. Additionally, it has a chrome strip placed above the grille.
In terms of the side profile, except for the new alloy wheels things have not much changed when compared to the current Amaze. Lastly, the rear profile gets a refreshed design for tail lights which look like the ones on offer with the current Honda City.
Features
On the feature front, the upcoming Amaze will offer advanced tech such as a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, and an upgraded instrument cluster. Additionally, it will offer a ventilated seats, a single pane sunroof, 360 degree camera and ADAS suite which will be something segment's first. The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite will help the new Amaze to give a stiff competition to its competitors such as the new Dzire.
Powertrain
The new-gen Amaze will source its power from the same previously available 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The powerhouse will be mated to a five speed manual or CVT gearbox. Because of the same mechanical configuration, there will be barely any change in the power figures of the new Amaze.

Verdict
The new-gen Honda Amaze brings a fresh design, segment-first features like ADAS, and enhanced tech, but sticks with the same 1.2L petrol engine. While it promises added convenience and modern appeal, the lack of a new powertrain might limit its excitement factor. It's a well-rounded upgrade, yet more innovation under the hood could have made it a game-changer.
