- To be based on the Dacia Bigster concept
- Renault has confirmed its India launch
- Expected by 2024 - 2025
Renault Duster has been one of the most successful models for Renault in India. First launched in 2012, the Renault Duster was discontinued in India in 2022. Last year, Renault along with its alliance partner Nissan, confirmed 6 new models for India in the coming years. The French brand also confirmed that the new-gen Duster will be one of those 6 models.
Well, the next-gen Duster has finally been spotted for the very first time during its road testing. The leaked spy images floating on the internet clearly show the third-generation Duster covered in camouflaged and being tested on the roads. Likely to be globally unveiled sometime in 2024, the third-generation Duster's design will be inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept.
What To Expect From The New Renault Duster?
Although there is not much information available on the upcoming third-generation Renault Duster, we expect the new Duster to be made available in a 5-seater and a 7-seater configuration. There could also be an electric powertrain option apart from the ICE one. The 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive capability will likely be offered at least as an option in the new-gen Renault Duster.
The new Renault Duster will be based on the CMF-B modular platform which has been jointly developed by Renault & Nissan. This platform is expected to be heavily localized in India to make the new Duster more affordable and accessible.
