What Is The Production Fault In These Affected Models?
As per the report, the weld seam on the track control arm is not properly affixed, which could possibly lead to strength and safety failure of these cars. Clueless? Let us break it down. The weld seam is the area where metal parts connect, and the track control arm is the suspension arm that connects the wheel hub to the vehicle chassis, which ultimately aids the movement of the car.
It is an integral mechanical component responsible for handling, steering, and overall stability. Now, this part is missing, which translates to the car being extremely weak in terms of strength, and there are high chances that the suspension could break down at any time.
Out of the total 52 models, 38 units are Volkswagen cars and 14 units are Skoda cars. The recall was registered on October 28, 2024. However, neither of these automakers has publicly announced anything yet, and most likely, they will contact the owners directly to fix the issue free of cost.

Verdict
This is a very serious issue, as an integral mechanical component is affected, which could lead to a serious accident. The recall should happen immediately, and the automaker should conduct an inquiry into why this issue occurred in the first place.
