Tata.ev cars like the Nexon.ev and Punch.ev have reduced their prices to match their ICE counterparts as part of the 'Festival of Cars' campaign, which runs until 31st October 2024. Tata Motors launched this campaign yesterday for their ICE cars, and it now extends to their electric vehicles as well. According to the press release, the Nexon.ev now starts at Rs 12.49 lakh, while the Punch.ev offers discounts of up to Rs 1.2 lakh this festive season, and starts at 9.99 lakh. Plus, there is a special discount of Rs 40,000 on the Tiago.ev.

Tata Nexon.ev Price
Tata.ev announced that the Nexon.ev will start at Rs 12.49 lakh during this period, with a total price drop of Rs 3 lakh. Normally, the base trim of the Nexon.ev, called 'Creative Plus Medium Range,' starts at Rs 14.49 lakh. According to the press release, the new prices now align with the Tata Nexon ICE model.
Specifically, at this price point, the Nexon ICE Pure and Creative variants with automatic transmission are available, and these are the ones most buyers choose. So, those who have always wanted to buy an EV should explore this opportunity, as now is the best time.
Additionally, the Nexon.ev comes with two battery packs: 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh, offering ranges of 325 km and 465 km, respectively, according to the MIDC Part 1 cycle.
Tata Punch.ev Price
As for the Punch.ev, the base variant now starts at Rs 9.99 lakh, and the press release mentions discounts worth up to Rs 1.2 lakh, along with other benefits like 6 months of free charging. Additionally, the Punch.ev eariler prices were Rs 10.98 lakh for the Smart trim which goes up to Rs 15.49 lakh for the Empowered trim.
There are two battery packs available: a 25 kWh pack and a 35 kWh pack, the latter being called the Long Range. According to Tata.ev, the standard battery pack offers a range of 315 km, while the Long Range pack provides 421 km.
Tata Tiago.ev Price
Another popular EV from Tata that receives a significant discount is the Tiago.ev, which starts at Rs 7.99 lakh with no change in its entry price. However, it receives a price reduction of Rs 40,000 in the higher trims. Additionally, the Tiago.ev is eligible for 6 months of free charging at Tata-authorized centers. An important thing to note is that the Tigor.ev, the stretched out version of the Tiago.ev, does not receive any special discounts during the 'Festival of Cars' campaign.

Verdict
Its raining heavy discounts on Tata cars, and now theyve dropped the prices on popular EVs as well. Customers who have wanted to purchase an EV for a long time but couldnt due to its high price should check them out. The base price of the Nexon EV has dropped to Rs 2 lakh, and Tata is offering total benefits amounting to Rs 3 lakh, plus six months of free charging at Tata-authorised charging centers.
