Citroen Basalt SUV: Details
Citroen recently unveiled its Basalt SUV globally, almost two months ago in March. The buzz around its anticipated launch is growing, with expectations set for the second half of this year. The Basalt will be built on the same CMP platform as the C3 Aircross SUV. Its front design cues are heavily influenced by the C3 Aircross, while it features a distinctive sloping, coupe-like roofline.
The Basalt has been spotted during road testing, and its exterior design closely resembles the concept model showcased earlier. Under the hood, the Basalt will share the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine as the C3 Aircross, producing 109bhp and 205Nm of torque. It will be available with both a six-speed manual and an automatic torque converter. The expected price range for the Basalt is between 12 lakh and 15 lakh.

Citroen C3 Aircross EV: Details
Citroen India is gearing up to introduce an electric version of its popular C3 Aircross. It's anticipated that this electric vehicle (EV) will draw design inspiration from its ICE counterpart, alongside similar features and more.
Beneath the surface, it's expected to sport a battery capacity ranging from 30 to 40 kWh, coupled with a single-motor power system. It's anticipated to provide a driving range of approximately 400 km on a single charge. Although the company has yet to confirm these details officially, the electric C3 Aircross is expected to hit the market later this year.
Updated Citroen C3 With Automatic Gearbox And More
Citroen India is set to introduce an upgraded version of its C3 model soon. While the exterior design will remain unchanged, the major upgrade lies in the transmission. The new model will feature a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, in addition to the current options of a five-speed manual and a six-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of features, the updated C3 will include new additions such as six airbags as standard and automatic air conditioning. This revamped C3 is expected to launch next month in June. The current price range is between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.33 lakh, but with these upgrades, it is anticipated to become Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh more expensive.
