Maruti e Vitara

The first car by Maruti Suzuki that is a born electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, has become the biggest talking point of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Maruti Suzuki stall is situated at Hall No. 5, and the company showcased it on the first day of the expo. This vehicle is most likely to launch by March or April and will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Curvv EV. If you want to know more, just click here.

Hyundai Creta Electric

This Korean brand had already showcased the Creta Electric a few days before the start of the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, but for everyone to check it out, Hyundai India displayed it on the first day of the event. To add to that, they have officially launched the Creta EV, and now the prices of all variants are out. It starts at Rs 17.99 lakh, and the top variant costs Rs 23.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

BYD Sealion 6/7

byd sealion 6

BYD, the electric car manufacturer from China, has some of the hottest cars on display at Hall 6 of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Here, they unveiled two SUVs under the Sealion nameplate: the Sealion 6 and Sealion 7. The first one is a PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) that uses a 1.5L petrol engine paired with an 18.3 kWh battery.

The second one runs purely with the help of electric motors, and BYD has started bookings in India for a token amount of Rs 70,000. Deliveries will begin by March. The Sealion 7 is basically an upscaled version of the BYD Seal and features a sportback-like rear end. You can check out this vehicle at Hall No. 6.

BYD Yangwang U8

If you love colossal-sized SUVs, then you can't miss the Yangwang U8, the luxury brand of BYD. This SUV is, again, a PHEV, which BYD showcased on the first day itself. To add more, some details tell us that it weighs 3500 kg and gets in motion with the help of a 49.1 kWh battery pack and a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. The combined power of these two is 1200 HP and 1280 Nm of torque. There is no information yet on whether the Chinese giant will launch it here.

MG Majestor

While everyone was expecting JSW MG Motor India to bring the facelift of the Gloster, MG surprised us all by showcasing the new Gloster with a new nameplate. This more premium version of the Gloster is called the MG Majestor. Its design is similar to the Maxus D90 SUV. The engine specifications will remain the same: a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. If you want to check it out, visit Hall No. 2.

Skoda Kodiaq (2nd Generation)

skoda kodiac

The new generation of the Skoda Kodiaq made waves on the first day of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This all-new Kodiaq was long awaited, and now it has finally been unveiled. The styling is typical Skoda-clean lines, minimalistic, and timeless design. The premium quotient has significantly improved, and this vehicle is parked at Hall No. 3 of the Auto Expo 2025.

Toyota Urban BEV Concept

Toyota, at Hall No. 5, quietly showcased the Toyota Urban BEV Concept, which is essentially the same car as the Maruti e-Vitara, but with slightly different styling. This model didn't make much noise, whereas, right opposite to it, Maruti was ready with all the bells and whistles to showcase its e-Vitara, co-developed with Toyota, on the first day of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It will be launched with the same battery specifications of 49 kWh and 61 kWh.

BMW X3

BMW X3

One of the best cars to launch on the second day of the Auto Expo 2025 was the new generation of the BMW X3. This is the fourth generation of the X3, and it is launched with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol one, xDrive20 M Sport, costs Rs 75.80 lakh ex-showroom, and the diesel one, xDrive20d, costs Rs 77.80 lakh. Outstanding pricing and a striking new design make the X3 a top choice on my list. It is parked at Hall No. 6 of the Expo 2025.

BMW iX1

BMW ix1

Another electric car launched at this event was the BMW iX1, priced at 949 lakh. This is a long-wheelbase version and the first electric BMW to be manufactured in India. Only one variant is available, the eDrive 20L M Sport. The car offers a range of 531 km, with 204 HP and 250 Nm of torque generated from a 66.4 kWh battery pack.

Tata Sierra

Tata Sierra

The Sierra is back, and with a bang. This new version of the Sierra was showcased at the Global Expo 2025 on the very first day, and in bright yellow, it looked fantastic. Retaining several design elements from the Sierra of the '90s, this SUV appears to be heavily inspired by Land Rover cars, a subsidiary of Tata Motors. Lastly, the company will offer it with multiple powertrain options, as 91Wheels has learned.

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Harrier EV

The Harrier EV AWD version stole the limelight in Hall No. 1 on the first day when it took the stage with self-driving capability. Yes, the Harrier EV is so advanced in technology that it can drive itself. Finished in a forest green paint, this car is finally getting an AWD mode, allowing owners to explore previously unexplored areas.

Tata Avinya Concept X

Tata Avinya Concept X

Tata Motors Cars stole the spotlight at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 by revealing the Tata Avinya Concept X on the first day of the grand event. This car now appears significantly different from the Avinya concept first shown at the Auto Expo of 2023. Earlier, it had a crossover-like body, but now it has grown into a fully luxurious SUV, which appears heavily inspired by the brand's subsidiary, Land Rover.

Verdict

These are the top 12 SUVs we saw at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which we believe you should definitely check out. Thankfully, amidst the sea of electric vehicles, there are still brands keeping the legacy of ICE cars alive and offering options to own a diesel engine. Lastly, even if you're not a fan of cars, you should still attend this grand event to see how beautiful it is and how successfully the government has pulled off this show.
