Bajaj is on the mission to expand its electric two-wheeler lineup. To achieve the expansion, new products such as e-scooters are being developed. Confirming this is the recent spy shots of an upcoming Bajaj e-scooter which was spotted testing. The test mule was being tested along with a group of Chetak e-scooters in Pune.
Bajaj is working on the new EV products for its expansion with the Yulu brand. Yulu is known for manufacturing new EV technology & it is supported financially by Bajaj. Bajaj has invested in the Yulu EV brand to focus more on the development of efficient electric two-wheeler technology.
The test mule surely is a new scooter that is being developed on the spreadhead of the Chetak e-scooter. The fully camouflaged test scooter was draped with the body and chassis of Chetak itself; as anticipated from the spy pics. As the electric two-wheeler segment in India keeps growing, Bajaj does not want to miss the chance by not expanding its electric lineup.
Currently, the Bajaj Chetak is the only EV offered from the electric arm of the brand pan India. As the rivals are also working on the expansion and offering various EV products like the Hero Electric Eddy, Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, etc.; Bajaj intends to offer a variety of products. The main aim is to cover the customer bandwidth with varying budget limits and usage. New scooters will cover the base of long-range, budget orientation, and more technology altogether.

Bajaj has already made its intentions clear about offering the Chetak in 100 cities all over the country soon. But, as the industry suffers from the semi-conductor shortage issue; the aim is getting delayed.
