Upcoming Skoda Slavia Facelift Spied Testing
The Skoda Slavia facelift was no surprise as it was already known that an update was around the corner, including that for the Skoda Kushaq. By the first glimpse, the silhouette more or less looks identical. However, there will be a few cosmetic tweaks for that refreshed look. You can notice sleeker LED headlamps along with what looks like a restyled LED DRLs layout. On top of this, the front bumper will be tweaked along with new alloy wheels.
The side profile looks similar to the current iteration with the typical solid bodyline and similar window glass area. While there will only be a new design for the alloy wheels, expect the rest of the elements to be carried forward. Meanwhile, we noticed the blacked-out alloy wheels on this test mule, we do not expect this to be standard across all variants. This could be reserved for some specific variants with machined dual-tone alloys on the other higher-spec trims.
The rear profile will get the same metal sheet structure with a revised lower bumper and restyled wraparound LED tail lamps. Meanwhile, there is a hint of a bar-like structure running between both the tail lamps, most likely to be the connected light bar. This could enhance the visual appeal and is also highly desirable by buyers who love to flaunt in the dark.

Although the interiors could not be snapped this time, it is expected to offer a tweaked cabin theme with a touch of refresh to the dashboard. The feature list, which was already quite comprehensive, is set to receive some more additions. It is highly likely to get Level-2 ADAS along with a 360-degree camera to bolster safety. Interestingly, the Skoda Slavia is already a 5-star rated GNCAP vehicle.
Engine Details: No Changes Under The Hood
No alterations are expected underneath the surface. Currently, the Skoda Slavia boasts two engine choices. The first is a 1.0-liter petrol engine, delivering 114bhp and 178Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The second option is a 1.5-liter engine, offering more power with 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT gearbox. It continues to rival the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Honda City.
Verdict
The Slavia sedan has been slowlly gaining tarction in the space which is now witnessing a revival, although a little slow paced. However, with the inclusions expected, it will definetly contest even more fiercly for the top spot.
