It's a little over a year since MG made its debut with the Hector and needless to say, it has proven its worth. Available with three powerful engine options, loads of features and its humongous size, the Hector is quite a looker. Today, we have with us a modified MG Hector with 20-inch alloy wheels, custom m audio set up and much more.

This modified Hector has been done by a company called Kitup based out of Coimbatore. It is a renowned modified company and Hector was their latest assignment. To us, this one looks better than the stock ones and those 20-inch huge alloy wheels bring out a real character to the MG Hector.

Sharing the details of the front then it has been divided onto two parts - the upper and the lower. The former is retained with the original badging and the chrome bezels in the grille. The lower part where the number plate houses now get shadow silver paint scheme to bring out a premium look. Even the diffuser gets the same paint scheme.
The black rubber strips around the doors and wheel arches we see in the standard model gets repainted to the same shadow silver paint. The side profile retains the chrome treatment on the door handles and on the fenders.
To make it look worthwhile, Kitup has also given a black contrast and now the roof, side ORVMs and the pillars receive gloss black treatment. The prominent change is the massive 20-inch alloy wheels which look huge on an SUV of this size. Being low profile tyres, they continue to fit right and makes up for a premium look.

Along with these visual updates, Kitup has also improved the audio system of the Hector. Not much is known on this part but we are sure, the output must be good to the ears.
MG Hector is sold in three engine options - two petrol and one diesel engine. It is priced from Rs 12.84 lakh and goes up till Rs 18.09 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500.
