With the new Metallic Black Variant, the Aerox 155 is now available in a total of four colour choices.
Yamaha unveiled a new variant of the recently launched Aerox 155. The 155 cc maxi sports scooter is inspired by Yamahas R-Series motorcycle range. It has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1, 29,000 lakhs in New Delhi and this applies to the new Metallic Black variant, along with the Racing Blue and Grey Vermillion variant. Theres also a Monster Energy MotoGP edition that costs a bit at Rs. 1, 30,500 (ex-showroom price, Delhi)
The Metallic Black Variant will be available at all Yamaha Blue Square showrooms across India, from December onwards. Given that this is just a paint scheme, its availability will be easy. With the new option, the Aerox 155 is now available in a total of four variants.

Mechanically, the Aerox 155 is powered by the same 155-cc liquid-cooled, four-valve, SOHC engine that is also available with the R15 V4.0/ V3.0. The Aerox 155 also gets VVA-Variable Valve Actuation, which further helps the scooter build its power at low rpms. It does make its power earlier, and the Monster Energy MotoGP edition Aerox 155 produces 15 bhp and 13.9 Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful scooter in the segment, with respect to SXR 160 and SR 160.
Yamaha also equips the Aerox 155 with efficient features like a Smart Motor Generator for quieter engine starts, and a Stop & Start system to aid better fuel efficiency. Some of the key features include an LED headlight and tail light with 12 compact LEDs, and a 5.8 multi-information display screen that supports the Y-connect App. The screen also displays call/sms alert, along with connection status and mobile battery status. Another really useful feature is the 24.5-litre under-seat storage and the external fuel filler. The Aerox 155 is suspended on a telescopic fork at the front and motorcycle styled twin shock absorbers at the rear It rides on 14 alloy wheels at the front, and super-wide 140 mm 14 inches at the rear. The wide rear tyres aid in better cornering, and with a single-channel ABS feel safe as well.
