Powered by a 450cc inline twin-cylinder engine producing 48 PS, it offers a perfect balance of power and agility, the F 450 GS is built for riders who crave adventure without compromising comfort and practicality.

Design: The BMW F 450 GS takes design cues from its larger sibling, the BMW R 1300 GS, featuring a tall stance, sharp high-rise beak front fender, and muscular proportions. The headlamp, reminiscent of the R 1300 GS, seamlessly integrates into the bike's adventure-ready aesthetic. The F 450 GS exudes a rugged yet sophisticated character with its well-sculpted bodywork and clean lines. The motorcycle has a minimalist rear section and lightweight frame that make it equally appealing for off-road trails and urban environments.

Power and Performance: The F 450 GS is equipped with a 450cc liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine, delivering 48 PS. This mid-capacity engine offers a smooth power delivery across the rev range, making it ideal for both off-road excursions and highway touring. The lightweight construction of 175 kg (kerb) enhances the bike’s maneuverability and responsiveness. With adjustable suspension and a well-tuned chassis, the F 450 GS ensures confident handling. 

Features: BMW has equipped the F 450 GS with a 6.5-inch TFT display offering smartphone connectivity and navigation capabilities, keeping riders informed and connected on the go. The bike also features cornering ABS for added safety, ensuring optimal braking performance even in challenging conditions. The inclusion of multiple riding modes is expected to provide versatility across different terrains.

Hardware: Built for adventure, the F 450 GS features a robust suspension setup with fully adjustable inverted forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup, ensuring excellent grip and stability on rough surfaces. The F450 GS gets disc brakes on both ends to provide reliable stopping power, while the lightweight frame and premium materials ensure durability and performance.

Launch and Price: BMW has announced plans to launch the production version of the F 450 GS in 2025. It is expected to make its India debut in 2026. While pricing details are yet to be confirmed, it is anticipated to be competitively priced within the Rs. 6-7 lakh range (ex-showroom)

Rivals: The BMW F 450 GS will compete with other mid-capacity adventure bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. With its advanced features, premium build quality, and BMW’s hallmark engineering, the F 450 GS is poised to become a strong contender in the adventure touring category.
