The Ford Endeavour was first launched in the Indian market in the year 2003. The second-generation Endeavour hit the Indian shores in 2009 and currently, we have the third-generation Endeavour on sale in the country. The current generation model of the Endeavour was launched in India in 2016 and recently in 2019, it received a mid-life update. Now, in 2020, Ford has launched the Endeavour with a new BS6-compliant engine. So, here we have for you the First Look Review of the new 2020 Ford Endeavour BS6.
2020 Ford Endeavour BS6: Looks and Colour Options
The Ford Endeavour has always been a handsome-looking SUV and with the recent mid-life facelift, it has got even better. The Endeavour boasts of sheer dimensions and it has a very good road presence. At the front, it gets a big chrome-embellished angular hexagonal grille. The large grille is flanked by bi-LED projector headlamps and it gets daytime running LEDs too. Moving to the side profile, one can see that it gets a typical boxy stance of an SUV and runs on multi-spoke machined-cut 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets LED taillamps and a roof-mounted spoiler. The Endeavour also gets chunky skid plates at the front and rear and side steps. It is available in three colour variants - Diamond White, Absolute Black and Diffused Silver.

2020 Ford Endeavour BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage
Earlier, the Endeavour was available with a choice of 2.2-litre and a 3.2-litre oil-burner. However, now it's the BS6 era and Ford has discontinued those colossal engines and instead plonked in a new comparatively smaller mill. The new 2020 Ford Endeavour is powered by a new BS6-compliant 2.0-litre EcoBlue turbocharged diesel engine. This oil-burner churns out 170 PS of maximum power at 3500 RPM and 420 Nm of peak torque between 2000-2500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox and it can be had with both 4x2 as well as 4x4 drivetrains. The ARAI-claimed fuel-efficiency figure of the new BS6-compliant Endeavour 4x2 is 13.9 kmpl while the 4x4 variant delivers 12.4 kmpl.
2020 Ford Endeavour BS6: Interiors and Features
The Endeavour is the Flagship Ford SUV in India and being a Flagship, it is loaded with features up to the brim. Taking the centre stage of the new Endeavour's dashboard is an 8.0-inch touchscreen advanced SYNC-3 infotainment system. It is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and also gets Ford's Pass system. Some other features include a panoramic sunroof, premium 10-speaker sound system, ambient lighting, hands-free powered tailgate, terrain management system, hands-free semi-auto parking and many more. The safety features include up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program with Roll-over Stability and Traction Control, Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control, front and rear parking sensors with a reverse parking camera, cruise control, etc.
2020 Ford Endeavour BS6: Price, Rivals and Verdict
The new 2020 Ford Endeavour BS6 is available in just two variants - Titanium and Titanium Plus. The Titanium variant is available with only 4x2 drivetrain while the Titanium Plus is available with both 4x2 as well as 4x4 drivetrain.
