Hero Splendor Plus Xtec: LED Headlamp
For this new range-topping Xtec variant, the Hero Splendor Plus has finally received a more modern-looking all-LED headlamp. Flanked by vertical LED DRL strips, this headlamp provides brighter illumination of the road ahead.
Competition Check - The Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec is the only motorcycle among its competitors to get an LED headlamp, as the TVS Radeon and Bajaj Platina 110 get only LED DRLs with their halogen headlamps.
Hero Splendor Plus Xtec: Full-LCD Instrument console
The Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec also gets a compact-sized full-LCD instrument console, not the dual-pod analogue instrument console in other variants of Splendor Plus. This orange backlit LCD screen has a digital speedometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, instantaneous and average fuel efficiency readings, and Bluetooth connectivity as standard.
Competition Check - While the TVS Radeon also gets a full-LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, the Bajaj Platina 110 does with a part-digital instrument console.
Hero Splendor Plus Xtec: Hazard lights
Hazard lights are common among sports bikes with engines 150cc and above. However, this safety feature is also available in the Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec. This feature allows the rider to switch on both the turn indicators together in case of a breakdown while riding to make other riders on the road.
Competition Check - The Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec is the only motorcycle compared to the TVS Radeon and Bajaj Platina 110 to get hazard lamps.

Hero Splendor Plus Xtec: Mobile charging port
The Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec also offers the added convenience of charging smartphones with a USB charger while on the move. This charging slot is positioned below the handlebar of the Splendor Plus X-Tec.
Competition Check - While the Splendor Plus X-Tec and Radeon get a USB charger, the Platina 110 doesnt get this feature
Hero Splendor Plus Xtec: Idle start-stop system
The Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec is already a fuel efficiency champion, and the idle start-stop system offered as standard further enhances its city mileage. This feature turns off the ignition of the Splendor Plus X-Tec as soon as the rider comes to a halt while riding and turns it on with a minor twist of the throttle.
Competition check - The Radeon and Platina 110 do not get an idle start-stop system like the Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec.
Verdict
With the Splendor Plus X-Tec, Hero MotoCorp has successfully shed the bare-bones image of the Splendor and showed that the commuter motorcycle can be humble and feature-rich simultaneously. All these utility features make it the most feature-equipped bike compared to its TVS Radeon and Bajaj Platina 110, which also offer excellent fuel efficiency and reliability. The Hero Splendor Plus X-Tec might be missing the front disc brake option provided in the other two motorcycles in its comparison. However, it makes up for itself with a few exclusive features, such as an all-LED headlamp, hazard lights and an idle start-stop system.
