Exterior

The overall design remains same, and new style elements are observed when you observe it closely. First of all, the LED headlights have completely changed, which forms a shape of inverted C. Also, the LED DRLs are running across the boundaries of this light and both headlights are connected through a running DRLs arcoss the bonnet lid. Plus, the bumper is all new, with more sharp and angular looking elements, which Kia is calling it GT-Line bumper. When compared to the pre-facelift EV6, the LED headlight design was chunky, and the bumper too felt more sober than the latest model. Both of them looks perfect, but the facelift one is inclinded towards sportiness.

Pre-Facelift Kia EV6

From the side profile, everything remains similar; just the design of the alloys has changed. Now they're covered in a glossy finish, and the size is 19 inches. Kia is calling them aerodynamic glossy-finish alloy wheels. The earlier model had 5 spokes with diamond cuts mostly visible on them, making them look like an instant classic. Now, onto the rear profile, where again, only the bumper has changed; everything else remains the same. The reflectors, which were in a vertical position in the pre-facelift model, are now in a horizontal position.

Interior

Kia EV6

Kia EV6, the interior remains largely the same as before, but major improvements have been made to the infotainment screen, which comes with several updates like Kia Connect 2.0 and many more self-diagnosing features that correct minor problems that occur in the car, so the owner doesnt have to visit the service center often. To further elaborate on this point, the new EV6 gets Kia Connect Diagnostics (KCD) for remote vehicle diagnostics. Over-the-air (OTA) software updates allow 34 ECU controllers to be updated remotely. Digital Key 2.0, featuring Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, transforms a compatible smartphone into a virtual key. Lastly, it comes with 100+ connected features.

Now, another major update in the interior is the addition of the double D-cut steering wheel, which we also saw in the Kia Seltos. In the previous model of the EV6, the steering was still a two-spoke, but now it has received more finesse. Talking about ADAS, there are 27 advanced safety and driver assistance features, including 5 new autonomous features: Junction Training, Junction Crossing, Lane Change Assist, Lane Follow Assist, and Evasive Steering Assist.

Battery Spec

"The 77.4 kWh battery pack has been replaced by an 84 kWh battery, which produces 325 ps and 605 Nm of torque, sending power to all four wheels. Additionally, the MIDC range is 663 km, and with a 350 kW fast charger, it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. Power figures remain the same, but the pre-facelift Kia EV6 had a claimed range of 708 km.

Verdict

In the truest sense, Kia didn't really require this facelift, as majorly everything is similar, and the few enhancements given to the exterior don't really create an impact on the buying decision. That said, new ADAS features have been added, and now it only comes with the AWD variant, which is good considering the price point at which it is offered. Lastly, the range figure has slightly gone down, but that won't create a major impact.
