Bajaj Auto is a well-known name in the motoring world, highly acclaimed for its Pulsar series of motorcycles. The Pulsar Motorcycles are praised worldwide and boasts of the tagline Definitely Male. A few weeks ago, we shared with you the new prices of the BS6-compliant Pulsar range, but, Bajaj has again hiked the price of its entire portfolio. Today, we have for you the 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 Neon BS6 as these are the most affordable Pulsars and with the BS6 update, they have got some new upgrades.
For 2020, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 gets new tank shrouds that make it look more muscular than before. It is almost identical to Pulsar 150 Neon in terms of looks and it does look handsome, considering it is just a 125cc commuter motorcycle. The Pulsar 125 Neon is available in three colour shades - Neon Blue, Solar Red, and Platinum Silver. The bike is available in two variants: Disc and Drum and its also gets combined braking system (CBS).
The Pulsar 125 Neon is the most powerful 125cc commuter in India. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected DTS-i engine that churns out a maximum output of 12 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 11 Nm of peak torque at 6500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. After the recent price hike, its drum brake variant now starts at Rs. 70,995 (up by Rs. 998) while the disc brake model now retails at Rs. 75,494 (up by Rs. 1,376). All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.
Now if we talk about the Pulsar 150 Neon, once it was called the most affordable Pulsar. With the BS6 update, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon gets some cosmetic updates and new add-ons. For starters, it now gets tank shrouds, a new sporty engine guard and new graphics on the cowl and the fuel tank. The Pulsar 150 Neon is sold in three colour schemes - Neon Red, Neon Silver and Neon Lime Green. Since it is a 150cc sporty commuter, it does come loaded with features and also gets a single-channel ABS.
Powering the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon is a BS6-compliant 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i engine producing 14 PS of power at 8000 RPM and 13.4 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and it also gets fuel-injection technology. The Pulsar 150 Neon BS6 was earlier priced at Rs. 85,536 but after the recent price hike, it now retails at Rs. 90,003 (up by Rs. 4,467), all prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi.

So, this was about the recent updates and price hike on the 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 Neon BS6. Lastly, I would like to share one interesting fact. When the Pulsar 150 Neon was launched in November 2018, it was priced at Rs. 65,000 but within 20 months of its launch, its price has been hiked by Rs. 25,000! What's your take on this?
