The new-gen Honda City packs in more space and wider shoulder room than its predecessor. That means the rear passengers can be seated comfortably. Also, it is 19 mm wider than the Verna facelift. The 2020 Honda City is also 109 mm longer and 14 mm taller. Both the cars get 2600 mm of wheelbase.

Well, the 6-speed manual gearbox is easily noticeable in the 2020 Honda City. Earlier, it used to come with a 5-speed stick shift. The CVT remains constant. When it comes to power then the 2020 City makes 119 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 145 Nm.
The power is higher than Verna's 1.0L turbo petrol unit which sticks to just 118 bhp. The Verna facelift churns out 113 bhp from naturally aspirated 1.5L petrol. The latter offers a 6-speed manual and an optional CVT gearbox. Whereas the more powerful 1.0L turbo petrol gets a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The facelifted Verna continues to bring out the same 113 bhp of power as petrol. The torque sees higher figures of 250 Nm and the engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed AT. On the other hand, the BS6 diesel engine of City continues to make the same 99 bhp on tap with 200 Nm of peak torque. What's new is the Honda claims this new unit gets updated NVH levels. However, we do miss the convenience of an automatic gearbox.
Features

It also gets first-in-class segment features like full LED headlights, Z-shaped wraparound LED taillights, lane watch camera, agile handling assist and many more. It also gets 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Weblink compatibility.
Hyundai Verna gets features like TPMS, 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and also the signature BlueLink technology. Ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof fully digital instrument cluster are also some of the other features of the sedan.

Prices
The facelifted Verna is priced at Rs 9.30 lakh for the base variant and fetches till Rs 15.11 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The prices of 2020 Honda City are yet to be announced but we can expect it to stick between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Honda has also said that they will continue selling the fourth-gen City along with the newer model.
