2022 Audi Q7 features an updated design inside and out, along with a new 3.0-litre V6 TFSI petrol motor that outputs 340 hp-500 Nm
Audi India, the local subsidiary of the renowned German luxury carmaker, has today announced the commencement of the bookings for the 2022 Audi Q7 facelift. The upcoming model can be booked for a sum of INR 5 lakh.
Speaking on the development, Mr Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said, "After nine product launches in 2021, we are excited to step into the new year with another incredible offering the legendary Audi Q7 for which we open bookings today. The Audi Q7 has always been loved by customers for its sheer magnanimous road presence and its versatile performance - on and off the road. With the Audi Q7 we are now taking this up a notch with a new design and features. I am confident that the Audi Q7 will continue to be loved by existing and potential customers who want to join the Audi family.

The 2022 Audi Q7 facelift is expected to launch later this month and will be sold in two variants - Premium Plus and Technology. Other than a set of aesthetic and equipment updates, the new Q7 will be kitted out with a petrol motor. Also, the SUV will be brought to us via CKD route. Local assembly of the vehicle is already underway at the carmaker's Aurangabad-based facility. It must be noted that the Q7 was taken off the shelves back in April 2020 in the run-up to kicking in of the BS6 emission norms.
2022 Audi Q7 Facelift Looks
The updated SUV, which made its world premiere in June 2019, carries several styling tweaks that make the refreshed version look sleeker and a tad more upmarket. The front facade of the revised model carries a larger iteration of the signature single-frame grille, which is flanked by updated headlamps featuring new Daytime Running Lamps. At the tail-end, the SUV gets new lighting fixtures and a new chrome strip that runs along the width of the hatch door. Even the bumpers at both ends are new and so are the alloy rims. The new model is even longer by 11mm and measures 5,063mm in overall length. Inside, the SUV gets new screens, gloss black dashboard trim and brush aluminium accents to spruce up the feature-laden cabin.

2022 Audi Q7 Facelift Features
Akin to the pre-facelift model, the 2022 Audi Q7 will come equipped with adaptive Matrix LED headlamps, automatic parking, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and a 4-zone automatic climate control system. However, the facelift will additionally get the carmaker's dual MMI system with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8.6-inch touchscreen positioned at a lower level for aircon controls. The instrumentation will be courtesy of Audis Virtual Cockpit all-digital cluster. Finally, the updated model could even get HD Matrix LED headlamps with laser light technology and a head-up display.

2022 Audi Q7 Facelift Specifications
The pre-facelift Q7 featured a 3.0-litre V6 oil-burner that pumped out a maximum power of 249hp. A 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor that produced 252hp was another engine option. This time around, however, the only engine on offer will be a 3.0-litre V6 mill that will produce 340hp. The motor will come mated to an 8-speed torque-converter auto 'box and will be shared with the Q8 and A8L. Quattro all-wheel-drive will be standard. In India, the 2022 Q7 will rival the likes of BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Volvo XC90.
