Tata Curvv/Curvv EV

Tata's first coupe SUV, launched in 2024, features a gesture-controlled powered tailgate in the top variant - Accomplished + A, which starts from Rs 17.66 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 19.19 lakh. Also, in its segment, the Curvv is the only SUV to offer this convenient feature, and that too with gesture controls. One can easily swing his leg beneath the bumper, and it will open. Apart from this, the car is offered with three engine options - 2 turbo petrol and one diesel, plus, it is the only vehicle to provide an option of a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with diesel. Also, its electric counterpart, the Curvv EV, offers the same feature, again in the top trim, Empowered + A, which costs Rs 22 lakh ex-showroom.

MG Hector

The first car launched by MG in India back in 2019 still remains a popular choice among SUV lovers, and one of the biggest talking points of this car is its high-end features on offer. Yes, the automatic powered tailgate is there, from the second top Sharp Pro variant, which costs Rs 21.81 lakh ex-showroom. Also, this feature is offered in its 7-seater version, called Hector Plus, from the same Sharp Pro, which costs Rs 22.59 lakh ex-showroom.
Tata Harrier

Harrier, built on the OmegaArc platform, is a C-segment premium SUV that sits above cars like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara. After the 2023 major facelift, the Harrier became even more desirable and feature-loaded. Features like ADAS, powered tailgate, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and a light electric steering have positively impacted sales figures. Which brings us back to our point that the Harrier also features a gesture-controlled powered tailgate from Fearless +, which costs Rs 24.34 lakh with the 6-speed manual and Rs 25.74 lakh with the 6-speed automatic.
Tata Safari

The big bull, and currently the flagship Tata vehicle, Safari, is a majestic piece of automotive engineering that overshadows most cars whenever it's on the move. It's packed with top notch features, and you can get the gesture-controlled power tailgate from the Accomplished variant - which begins at Rs 23.84 lakh ex-showroom. Then, there are two more variants plus 2 editions to choose from. However, it is surprising to know that the Safari offers this feature at a lesser cost than the Harrier, which is its 5-seater version. By this step, it does make sense to buy the Safari over the Harrier because, after all, you're getting a bigger car.
Mahindra BE 6

Mahindra Electric-origin SUVs have completely changed the overview of electric vehicles in India. Earlier, people were buying EVs on the basis of their range, cost per run, and if they were getting any tax benefits on them. However, now people are flocking to Mahindra's showroom to book their EVs because they look so cool and desirable. Both for the company and the country, this is a massive achievement. Now, in the BE 6, you'll get the powered tailgate in the top-spec - Pack Three with a 59 kWh, that costs Rs 25.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Above this, there is a Pack Three with a 79 kWh, which costs Rs 27.65 lakh.
