The production of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N will commence from June 2022 onwards. The new SUV will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. The official launch will happen on June 27 and the expected prices stick from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Mechanically, it will be powered by two engine options - 2.0L Stallion petrol and a 2.2L mHawk diesel motor. The petrol will belt out as much as 168 bhp of power on tap while the oil burner will be available in two states of tunes of power - 128 bhp for the base variants and 158 bhp for mid and top-end trims.
Both these engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard along with an optional six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Mahindra will be providing four-wheel drive set-up with both the engine options. We expect the 4x4 configuration to be available in mid as well as top-end variants.

Feature-wise, the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will get dual-zone climate control, an electric sunroof, LED projector headlights with C-shaped LED daytime running lights, wireless charging, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and more.
Furthermore, the Scorpio N will be offered in both six and seven seat options. The six-seater with captain seats for the middle row and 7-seat layout will be offered with a bench set-up. On the other hand, XUV700 is offered with 5 and 7-seat configuration.

Safety equipment on the Scorpio N include as multiple airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, traction control, 360-degree camera and more. We can also expect a global NCAP crash test rating of 5 stars for the Scorpio N.
