Triumph has opened the pre-bookings window for their new Tiger 1200 Adventure Tourer Motorcycles. However, the launch date has not been confirmed as of yet.
Triumph Motorcycles India has commenced the bookings for their Tiger 1200 in India. The new motorcycle boasts a host of new changes. It is lighter than its predecessors, packs in more power, and equips quite the number of high-tech equipment on board.
The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 will be available in two variants: GT and Rally Pro. The former is more road-biased compared to the latter's off-road spec. Theres also a more exclusive Explorer version available with both variants. So, combined them all, Tiger 1200 will be available in a total of five versions: Base GT, GT Pro, GT Explorer, Rally pro, and Rally Explorer. 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 ADV: Design
The updated Tiger 1200 ADV now looks slimmer than before at the front, with a new radiator design. Not only does that makes the bike look visually lighter at the front, but its center of gravity has also improved. The new radiator helps mount the engine a bit further forward. Thus, the new Tiger 1200 is more agile, that is further complemented by an aggressive-looking fuel tank design with new graphics and badges. The bike still uses the same lightweight frame with a bolt-on sub-frame along with a new tri-link swingarm and a lighter shaft drive. All of these help the Tiger 1200 shed 25 kgs, bringing down to curb weight to 240 kgs. The seat height on the Tiger GT models gets two settings at 850 mm and 870 mm, while the Rally Pro models slots in higher at 875 mm and 895 mm.
2022 Triumph 1200 ADV: Powertrain
The 2022 Triumph is powered by an all-new 1160-cc, inline-3 cylinder engine that features a T-plane, triple-crank. Triumph says that this gives the Tiger 1200s throttle character, and at the same time maintains an engaging power delivery in the midrange and top range. Power output is rated at 150 Ps and 130 Nm of torque, which makes it 9 Ps and 8 Nm, more than before.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 ADV: Features
For 2022, the new Tiger 1200 ADV packs in quite a number of features onboard. For starters, theres the 7-inch TFT display which gets Bluetooth connectivity, along with an entirely new LED lighting system with DRLs. The Showa suspensions systems also get semi-active electronic preload and damping settings. Speaking of which, the suspensions get 200 mm of travel, while the Rally models have 20 mm of more travel. In addition, the GT models get as many as six riding modes, along with integrated adaptive cornering lights, heated grips, cruise control, hill-hold control, and bi-directional quick-shifter, as part of its standard equipment list.
With the Explorer version, the Tiger 1200 gets additional features, like TPMS, heated rider and pillion seats, blind-spot radar tech with a blind-spot assist, and lane-change assist features. The Tiger 1200 ADV GT model rides on 19 front/18 rear cast aluminum wheels covered with Metzeler Tourance treads. While the Rally Pro models ride on 21 front/18 rear tubeless wheels covered in Metzeler Karoo tires. Irrespective of the versions, the 2022 Tiger 1200 ADV gets a 20-liters fuel tank, but the Explorer variant gets you a bigger 30-liter fuel tank.
