One of the most anticipated products of 2022, Toyota Hilux is getting a huge demand even before its launch in the Indian market. Yes, the bookings of the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross rival started a few days ago, however, with the immense demand of Hilux, Toyota has now decided to stop the bookings on a temporary basis.
Needless to say, the huge demand for the Hilux is due to the reliability factor along with the indestructible character of the pick-up truck. Powered by a 2.8-litre, turbocharged BS6 compliant diesel engine, this unit churns out as much as 201 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 420 Nm (6-speed iMT). The maximum torque is 500 Nm if you pick the Hilux with the auto gearbox.
Toyota Hilux is quite popular in the global markets and with the launch in India, the Japanese carmaker will continue to grow its market share. Currently, Innova Crysta and Fortuner are the only products that have grabbed quite a hold in the market. Other products like Glanza and Urban Cruiser have also seen combined sales of over 1 lakh units.
