Honda Cars India has launched the 2023 iteration of its sedan the City. More features, new trims, and modest visual updates are all included in the 2023 Honda City for both the NA petrol and strong hybrid variants. The introduction of the new "SV" trim for the NA petrol engine type has reduced the price of the City. In India, this trim serves as the City's base model. The Honda City's entry-level SV variant costs Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This article will examine the base SV trim of the 2023 Honda City. 2023 Honda City SV Variant
The new SV model has a lot of practical and safety features. If we talk about the exterior features like the rear defogger, body-colored door handles, ORVMs with turn indicators, horizontal slats on the front grille, and 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. The model shown in the video is equipped with a variety of extras, including door guards, bumper corner protectors, and side moulding for doors, each of which costs Rs 5,000, Rs 2,500molding, Rs 1,650, and Rs 900 respectively.
The manufacturer has included a good number of interior features in the base model as well. It has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All four power windows, electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs, automatic climate control, push-button engine start/stop, steering-mounted audio and phone controls, rear armrest with cup storage, and more.

The base model comes with a decent amount of safety equipment, including 4 airbags, TPMS, a rear parking camera with sensors, ESP, ABS with EBD, and other features.
Honda City SV Variant Engine Option
The new SV model only has a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. Its engine can generate a maximum torque of 145 Nm and 119 bhp of power. The manual transmission petrol engine's claimed mileage is 17.8 kilometres per litre. Moreover, this engine is available in higher trims with a CVT transmission.
Verdict: The recently released, fifth-generation 2023 Honda City is now a more feature-rich and reasonably priced option for sedan customers. It still faces competition from the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia. On March 21, the Hyundai Verna will debut with a fresh facelift, providing a fierce competitor to the recently updated Honda City.
