2023 Honda Unicorn Details - What's New?
The newly updated Unicorn now comes with an OBD2-compliant engine. As we know, the government made the new BS6 Phase 2 emission norms necessary in April. The latest update makes the Unicorn withstand the strict emission norms. Apart from the new engine, there are no other changes to the commuter bike. The new engine now uses onboard sensors that control real-world emissions. Additionally, the new engine is expected to become more smoother to ride as well as more fuel economical. The colour options of Unicorn have also been updated. It is now available in 4 colours - black, red, grey, & blue.
Honda is also offering a 10-year warranty on the updated bike. The customers will get a standard 3-year warranty while they can upgrade it to 10 years by paying more. Meanwhile, the engine specifications on the new Unicorn are the same as the old bike. It uses a 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine generates a peak power of 12.73 bhp. This power is mated to a 5-speed transmission. As it is just an engine update, the rest of the bike including the features; remains the same.
Verdict
The new Unicorn will appeal to buyers who look for practicality, refinement, & reliability. However, the design of Unicorn has now started to feel outdated. Meanwhile, its rivals are constantly updating themselves. Some of its competitors are - Hero Xtreme 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, & Bajaj Pulsar P150.
