2023 KTM 390 Duke TFT Display Details
The upcoming Duke bike was seen again on a city test run. The latest spy photos have now revealed its new TFT screen display design & layout. As visible in the photos, the TFT is now rearranged and uses a new design. The colour screen now gets a big tachometer that eats up most of the area on the screen. Below the redline is the gear position indicator. Also, the trip meter and odometer etc. have now been placed on the bottom right. This new rearranging has made the TFT display a lot more sorted. We suspect that it'll be a lot easier to read on the go for the rider. There will be a lot more changes other than the new screen on the 2023 Duke.
For example, the chassis has been reworked and the body panels are now sharper in design. The headlight design is also new and so are the new alloy wheels. The brakes will be bigger and the rear LED taillight will also be new in design. Additionally, KTM will equip a new diagonally-aligned monoshock at the rear with a new swingarm (which is supposed to be lighter). However, some online rumours suggest to us that its engine capacity shall increase. It can be upgraded to a 400cc engine that will be more powerful than the current model.
Verdict - Launch Time & Price
The multiple test mules of the Duke 390 indicate that the bike is near ready. However, the last phase of testing is still undergoing. We anticipate that KTM might introduce the new Duke at the upcoming EICMA 2023 in November. This will mean a subsequent launch in the Indian market as well. With more features and a bigger engine, its price shall cross the Rs 3 lakh mark easily. Its main rival in India is the BMW G 310 R & the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler as well as the Royal Enfield Scram 450.
