2023 KTM 890 Adventure R Details
Speaking of the spotted bike, only a single pic is available. However, the 890 ADV is already on sale internationally. It is considered to be one of the most potent-filled ADVs in its segment. The design of the 890 mimics the KTM 450 Rally Bike. However, the headlight can give you a similar resemblance to that of the KTM Adventure 390. Meanwhile, the rest of the design is like a rally bike. It has a tall stance, WP XPLOR forks, and monoshock suspension with off-road tyres. The orange KTM livery is well mixed with white and blue shades.
The main attraction of the latest model is its equipment and engine. It gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked tubeless tyres. Additionally, it also gets a feature-loaded 5-inch TFT infotainment screen, Bluetooth connectivity, a navigation system, etc. The suspension on the 890 is completely adjustable for both of the front and rear ends. Meanwhile, it uses an 889cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This unit makes a peak power of up to 104 bhp & 100 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox is used to deliver this power to the rear wheel. Additionally, it also gets a slipper-assist clutch function along with a traction control system & various riding modes.
Verdict
The middle-weight ADV segment of India is blooming already. The rivals like Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F 850 GS, & Ducati Multistrada 950 already sell well cumulatively. Meanwhile, the KTM 890 is already a well-known brand globally. If KTM introduces it next year in India; it can change the whole game of this segment.
