Mahindra has recently confirmed the launch of Mahindra XUV 300 electric in early 2023. The upcoming e-XUV300 will be longer and include modest alterations compared to its ICE competitors. Inside Mahindra Research Valley, a Mahindra XUV 300 electric was recently spotted. The test mule was heavily camouflaged, with only the vehicle's back profile visible. To set it apart from its ICE siblings, the rear end has been tweaked slightly. The tail light's internal elements, as well as the bumper, have been changed.

In February, a test mule of the XUV 300 EV was also sighted on the road. The test mule was slightly longer than the ICE variants, indicating that the future EV will be 4.2 meters long, as confirmed by the brand. The Mahindra e-XUV 300 will be based on the same chassis as the present XUV 300, with only minor changes to fit the battery pack. While the features are expected to be borrowed from the current ICE model of the vehicle.
When it comes to the battery, a 40kWh battery may be used to provide power to the wheels, with an expected range of 200 kilometres for the short-range variant and 375 kilometres for the long-range variant.
The Tata Nexon EV currently dominates the EV four-wheeler industry, but once the Mahindra XUV 300 electric is out, it will allow consumers to choose something else and will give the Nexon EV significant competition. In terms of price, Mahindra is expected to launch the XUV 300 electric at Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).

On August 15, Mahindra will also reveal its 'Born Electric Vision 'concept vehicles. The electric concept vehicles will be developed by 2025, and three of them have already been teased by the brand. These concept electric SUVs were designed by Mahindra Advanced Design Europe in the United Kingdom. Mahindra's Born Electric Vision will devote its entire future efforts to the development of electric vehicles.
To create a better electric car, Mahindra and Volkswagen have announced a partnership to utilize Volkswagen's MEB modular electric car platform and its components for Mahindra Born Electric vehicles.
