Same Engine As The Eliminator 500
The Ninja 550 and the Eliminator both feature a 451 cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Parallel Twin engine. It delivers 33.4 kW (45 PS) of power at 9,000 RPM and 42.6 N7m of torque at 6,000 RPM, with a 6-speed return transmission.
Hardware
This bike has a sturdy frame made of strong steel. It has a telescopic fork at the front and a Uni-Trak system at the rear for smooth riding.
The front brake uses a 310 mm disc and the rear brake a 220 mm disc, both with dual-piston callipers. The front tyre is 130/70-18M/C 63H and the rear tyre is 150/80-16M/C 71H.

Features
The new Ninja 500 standard model, available in India, features a negative LCD dash with Bluetooth connectivity. Stay connected with message, call, and battery status alerts, along with turn-by-turn navigation and real-time mileage tracking.
It includes a gear indication and fuel indicators but lacks keyless ignition, exclusive to the SE variant.
Single Colour with A Contrasting Theme
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 is offered in a stylish Metallic Spark Black, boasting a unified black body and engine design. It features silver accents on the exhaust, chain, and stripes on the tank, and around the back seat, adding a subtle contrast and visual interest.
Expensive price point compared to Its rivals
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 is priced at Rs 5.24 lakh. Compared to its competitors, the KTM RC 390 is significantly more expensive at Rs 3.18 lakh, making it Rs 2.06 lakh pricier. The Yamaha R3 is also costlier, coming in at Rs 4.65 lakh, which is Rs 59,000 more than the Ninja 500.
The Aprilia RS 457 is another rival, priced at Rs 4.10 lakh, Rs 1.14 lakh higher than the Ninja 500. Additionally, the Kawasaki Eliminator, at Rs 5,62,000, is Rs 38,000 more expensive than the Ninja 500.
Verdict
The release of the Ninja 500 is stirring up excitement among bike enthusiasts. While it comes with a slightly higher price tag compared to its competitors, its impressive features, design, and performance make a compelling statement. However, its reception in the market remains to be seen.
