2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500: Design
The bike featured in the teaser appears to be the Ninja 500 SE, recognizable by its vibrant KRT colours. It replaces the Ninja 400 in Kawasaki's middle-weight range and features a lightweight trellis frame.
Its design, with twin LED headlamps and an integrated LED tail-lamp, echoes that of the 2024 ZX-6R. The fairing is striking with sharp angles and creases, giving the bike an aggressive stance. Its fuel tank is sculpted with defined lines and curves, adding to its muscular appearance.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500: Feature
The SE version comes with a 5-inch TFT dashboard and includes Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and keyless ignition through KIPASS (Kawasakis Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System).
It also features an economical riding indicator, ERGO-Fit for customizable comfort, and ABS for added safety.

2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500: Performance And Hardware
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 boasts a 451cc parallel twin engine, delivering 45.4hp and 42.6Nm of torque. Its 6-speed transmission and wet clutch ensure smooth shifting. With telescopic fork front suspension and Uni-Trak rear suspension, it offers a balanced ride.
Front and rear disc brakes with dual-piston callipers provide ample stopping power. At 785mm, its seat height is lower than competitors like the Aprilia RS 457 and KTM RC 390, while its 171kg weight (fully fueled) is lighter than the RS 457 (175kg) and RC 390 (172kg).
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500: Price And Rivals
The Ninja 500 and the Eliminator 500 are priced the same in the UK. It's uncertain if Kawasaki India will do the same. If they do, it will compete with the KTM RC 390, Aprilia RS 457, BMW G 310 RR, and Yamaha R3 in terms of pricing.
Verdict
The Ninja 500 SE appears poised to carve its niche in the fiercely competitive sportbike market of India, offering a blend of performance, style, and advanced features that cater to both seasoned riders and newcomers alike.
