2024 Kawasaki Versys 650: Two New Colours
The ADV-cum-sports tourer, Versys 650, is now available with two new paint options: Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Matte Dark Gray. The Flat Spark Black options use a contrast of black and green highlights. However, the Dark Gray, as the name suggests, uses a black contrast along with a grey and red highlight. Apart from these new paint options, the rest of the bike is untouched. The starting price of the new Versys is now Rs 7.77 lakh.
Contrary to the colour list update, the rest of the bike is unchanged from the 2023 model. Kawasaki had updated the Versys brand back in 2023 in India. The bike gets a refreshed styling with a new dual-LED headlight setup and a new cowl. The graphics and the side panels are also revised. Features include a TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity, traction control modes, a USB charging port, and more.
Powering the Versys is the tried and tested 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This powerplant generates a healthy power output of 65.7 bhp and a peak torque of 61 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission for smooth gearshifts. Kawasaki also offers a slipper clutch as standard on it. Hardware includes USD forks, adjustable rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, etc.
The new model is priced at Rs 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Comparing it to the older prices, the rates are unchanged as well. The main rivals to the Versys 650 are the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and the Honda NX 500.
