The 2025 MG Comet EV has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 4.99 lakhs for the BaaS plan, and Rs. 7 lakhs for the regular ownership with some feature upgrades. 1. More Features: Speakers, Rear Parking Camera, And More

The brand has refined the 2025 MG Comet EV's variant lineup, though the overall model structure of Executive, Excite, and Exclusive remains. The mid-tier Excite variant now benefits from a rear parking camera and electrically folding ORVMs, previously exclusive to the top-tier model. The top-spec Exclusive variant receives upgrades to its interior, now featuring white leatherette upholstery and a 4-speaker sound system, moving away from the previous fabric seats and 2-speaker setup. Aside from these adjustments to the feature distribution, the Comet's exterior and interior design, as well as its core amenities, remain unchanged.
2. Price Hike

Another major update with the 2025 iteration is the price hike, both for the one-time payment as well as through the battery as a service plan. With battery included, the prices are now up to Rs. 10,000 higher, with the base trim and the Blackstorm edition unchanged.

3. Range And Specs Retained

The MG Comet EV maintains its established powertrain configuration, featuring a 17.4 kWh battery pack coupled with a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle. This setup delivers 42 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque, powering the rear wheels and the vehicle boasts a claimed ARAI range of 230 kilometers.
Verdict
MG Comet EV is a practical urban vehicle that excels in its conveneince in dense traffic conditions where its compact size makes it easier to manuever and the electric powetrain that offers more economical commute. While the latest updates and the BaaS ownership program adds to the appeal of this compact EV, the stiff competition in the space from the Tiago EV keeps its sales in check.
