All New Maruti Dzire
It's a known fact that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the best-selling sub-compact sedan and the most common car on Indian roads. Its design has always been in sync with the Swift, but for the 4th generation, Maruti is taking a leap forward and trying to make the Dzire a completely different product. A few days ago, photos of it were circulating online, and people had mixed reactions to them.
From the front, it imitates an executive Japanese sedan with horizontally long LED headlights, a larger grille, and an elongated bonnet that we have never seen on any previous Dzire. It is fair to say that the Dzire has left its sporty avatar and embraced a new elegant design.
Specifcations And Features
The highly efficient 1.2L 3-cylinder Z-Series engine will be the sole powertrain on offer, producing 82 PS and 112 Nm of torque. It will be available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. With the Maruti Swift, it achieves an average of 25.75 km/l, so it is safe to assume that the all-new Dzire will also be this efficient, if not better.
After the launch, the Dzire S-CNG will launch and next will be the tour, the model specifcally designed for taxi purposes.
Talking about features, this car will come with an electric sunroof (a first for any Dzire), which is also a segment first, and SmartPlay Pro with a 17.78 cm touch screen that allows passengers to connect their smartphones to wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Some other expected features are:
- Rear ac vents
- Dual tone interior
- Automatic climate control
- Head-up display
- 360-parking camera
- Central armrest
- Rear Sunshade
- Automatic headlights

Verdict
The all-new Maruti Dzire is expected to start at Rs 7.5 lakh ex-showroom and go up to Rs 11 lakh. It will set new standards in its segment and impact the sales of the Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze. However, next year the Honda Amaze 3rd generation will also launch, and it promises to elevate its game to a whole new level. It will be interesting to see their rivalry.
