Bajaj Chetak has a special place in the hearts of Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts, and every two-wheeler enthusiast would love to have one in their collection. Earlier in 2020, Bajaj had relaunched the Chetak is a more modern and tech-savvy electric avatar.

Now, Mr. Rahul Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Auto, revealed in an interview with a news portal that the company is aiming to add another product to its range. Bajaj Auto's MD spoke with Moneycontrol about the company's goals for the coming fiscal year. The company may have plans to add another electric scooter to the lineup. After the Chetak, this will be Bajaj's second electric 2-wheeler.
Bajaj Chetak's current model features a 3.8 kW motor and an IP67 lithium battery pack that produces 4.08 kW peak power. It is available in two different modes: Eco and Sport. In Eco mode, the vehicle's performance is optimal, and it has a range of 90 kilometres, whereas, in Sport mode, faster acceleration is allowed, which reduces the driving range. The battery pack may be charged in 5 hours using a standard power outlet.
The Chetak lithium-ion battery is meant to last for 70000 kilometres, or 7 years, assuming the lithium-ion battery is kept charged above 15% capacity and utilised regularly. The company provide a 3-year or 50000 km warranty (whichever comes earlier)

As far as the upcoming Bajaj Chetak is concerned, it may get on the market by the end of this year or in early 2023.
