A new manufacturer to join the league is Aprilia, the brand has increased the price of its scooters in India. Its entire lineup has received a price bump of up to Rs 6,700 depending on the models. Aprilia now offers scooters in 125cc and 160cc segment.
After a Rs 6,276 increase in price, the most affordable Aprilia Storm Disc now costs Rs 1.06 lakh rather than Rs 1.00 lakh. The Aprilia SR RST 125 is now priced at Rs 1.15 lakh, up from Rs 1.09 lakh before. Those interested in purchasing the SR RST Carbon edition must now pay Rs 1.28 lakh instead of Rs 1.21 lakh, while those interested in purchasing the SR RST Race variant must now pay Rs 1.35 lakh instead of Rs 1.28 lakh. Instead of Rs 1.19 lakh, the Aprilia SR RST 160 now costs Rs 1.25 lakh.

Moving on to the SXR range, the Aprilia SXR 160 is the brand's flagship model in India, and it is now available for Rs 1.38 lakh, up from Rs 1.31 lakh earlier. The price of the SXR 125 has also increased, and it now costs Rs 1.27 lakh.

Piaggio, Aprilia's parent company, is planning to develop and offer new electric scooters. The brand plans to bring electric two-wheelers in India, which will be designed from the ground up, since they already produce electric scooters for European markets. Piaggio India intends to take its own time in delivering the optimum outcomes, rather than focusing on market presence in electric powertrain based two wheelers.
