The Bajaj Pulsar 125 is powered by a BS6 compliant 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 11.8 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 10.8 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It gets a fuel-injection system and Bajaj's patented DTS-i technology too. The new Pulsar NS 125 also gets the same mill but it has been slightly tuned to deliver better performance. The Pulsar NS 125 is powered by the same BS6 compliant 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected DTS-i engine. But, in the NS 125, it churns out 12 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 11 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The regular Pulsar 125 sits on a single down-tube frame while the new NS 125 gets a superior perimeter frame. For suspension duties, both these bikes get telescopic forks at the front and while the regular Pulsar 125 gets twin gas-charged shocks at the rear, the NS 125 gets a mono-shock absorber. The braking duties on both these bikes are performed by disc brakes at the front and they get a drum unit at the rear with an additional safety aid of CBS. Both the motorcycles get a semi-analogue semi-digital instrument cluster but with a different layout.

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 BS6 is currently priced between Rs. 73,363 - Rs. 82,989. The new Bajaj Pulsar NS 125, on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 93,690. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The NS 125 costs around 20,000 rupees more than the base variant of the Pulsar 125 Neon and for that extra price, you get a more good looking motorcycle with slightly better performance and great handling.
