Bharat NCAP Test: Tata Safari And Harrier Facelifts Safety Features
In addition to Tata's updated models, over 30 other vehicles have been put forward for Bharat NCAP's rigorous crash testing procedures. Tata has consistently championed vehicle safety, with their product range boasting impressive 4-star crash safety ratings. Surprisingly, even though Tata prioritizes safety, their flagship models, the Tata Safari and Harrier, have not undergone crash testing evaluations.
Both facelifted models prioritize safety with a comprehensive range of features. The top-tier variant boasts 7 airbags (including one for the driver's knee), while variants below the top level are equipped with 6 airbags. They also include Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Hill Start Assist (HSA), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Furthermore, the top-spec models are equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System featuring 11 key safety features, among which is Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

Adding to the safety arsenal, the Harrier and Safari facelifts offer additional protective measures. These include Cornering Stability Control (CSC), a Traction Control System (TCS), a Brake Disc Wiping System (BDWS), ISOFIX child seat mounts, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, height-adjustable front seatbelts, door-ajar warning, speed-sensing auto door lock, reverse parking sensors, Emergency Call and Breakdown Assist, and a rear parking camera, among various other safety enhancements.
The Harrier doesn't come with a rear disc brake as standard. These features, combined with the OMEGARC platform, which is based on Land Rover's D8 platform, give Tata confidence in achieving an excellent crash performance.

Verdict
Considering Tata's strong dedication to safety and the remarkable features in the Harrier and Safari facelifts, it seems likely that these vehicles will secure a coveted 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests.
