BMW Motorrad India has commenced the bookings for its upcoming premium electric scooter, the CE 04. The EV scooter will make its official debut on July 24, 2024, in India. Design
The BMW CE 04 will arrive with a unique design language, making it look like an upmarket product. The premium electric scooter has a sharp design and edgy design. Additionally, some design elements like the layered side panels and a floating seat grab the attention at first sight. The BMW CE 04 is definitely going to stand out and become a head-turner on the roads.
Powertrain
The CE 04 sources its power from a 15kW, permanent magnet, liquid-cooled electric motor that churns out 41 bhp of power and 61 Nm of torque. The CE 04 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 50 kmph in just 2.6 seconds and it can run with a top speed of 120 kmph.
The electric scooter gets an 8.9kWh battery pack which provides a driving range of 130 km on a solitary charge. The premium electric scooter comes with a standard charger which takes around 4 hours to juice up the battery. Also, there is an optional fast charger that charges the CE 04 in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Hardware
The CE 04 utilizes a steel double loop frame, along with a single bridge telescopic front forks. There's a single-side swingarm attached with a suspension at the back. Braking duties are handled by 265mm discs on both sides. The electric scooter gets 15-inch alloy wheels and ABS is a standard feature across the lineup.
Price Details
However, the manufacturer has not announced any details regarding the price of the electric scooter. The CE 04 will arrive with a starting price tag of Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom) in India according to our expectations.
